Energy Tracker Website
Description:
Longmont Power & Communications decided to launch a pilot program for 1 year, to educate the community about how to save energy and to understand patterns of use. The plan was to launch different user groups - and provide them different information based on the user group they were part of. Everyone on the site - views their energy use and cost, Tips and can set goals. But some users have additional features available to them - like neighborhood comparison, receiving monthly emails about use and performance against their goal and how they compare against their neighbors.
• The site uses the energy consumption information for all the residents for the past year and will support importing monthly data to measure the progress of behavioral patterns initiated by the site and the information shared on the site.
• There are Tips / Ways to Save which are automatically "suggested" for the user based on their profile and the questions they answered at the time of sign up.
• Suggested Tips can then be added to the "Plan", and "Goals" for reducing energy can be set by each user and the system will help you track how you do against your goal, over time.
• There's a whole goal comparison piece which will be "functional" only as we continue to get monthly data, and the actual use in the coming months can be compared to the "goal" set by the user.Client:
