Description:

After discussions with state staff and conducting a code review of the existing application, it was determined that a full re-write was the most cost effective method of both fixing existing issues and extending the functionality of the application. From there, the user interfaces were designed, and coding was started. The new application is built on the new ASP.NET MVC framework, which simplifies the use of Test-Driven Development on the Microsoft platform. This methodology ensures that the system is robust and catches regression much earlier in the development cycle than more traditional methodologies.

The client side components are built on the Dojo Framework, which provides a rich set of client components that work across a wide range of browsers.
